It’s a style that’s got everyone gasping because of its elegance and chicness. In fact, many have highlighted diverse reasons why they’ve fallen for it. From how lightweight the braids are, to how chic the style looks, or how endearing the curls make you feel, there seems to be a number of them to think of.

If you’ve been searching for a style that makes your heart thump and melt just like when we saw the beauty of knotless braids, the miracle knots are the ones for you. Check out everything you need to know about the miracle knots and how you can slay them hard.

I hope you can sit tight and come along as we take a look at these gorgeous braids and see if they are a miracle. Smiles. That’s a joke.

Miracle knots, also known as miracle braids, are a crochet-based boho hairstyle. They are installed using a latch hook to loop the hair extensions especially feather crochet hair onto the single braids, giving a sleek, flat style.

What are Miracle Knots and Why are they Popular

These braids are quite trendy and viral at the moment. They are popular for their lightness, natural look, and little tension. But not only because of these things, but also because they mimic the beautiful boho braids you install with hair extensions, and they have only a few knots visible.

The miracle braids or knots are unlike the traditional braided and crocheted styles.

They feature small, thin threads in the center of the curly crochet hair and are used to create the flat and knotless look. Miracle knots are fancy with the curly hair looped to the braids with small knots showing to give you a realistic style.

Due to that, the technique has become one for the books, spreading far and wide. I’ve got to mention that the extremely flat knots, little to no hair breakage, hair protection, and the easy and fast installation are some reasons why they are really popular. Also, they do not shed or frizz like the traditional ones.

Other Benefits of Miracle Knots

I’ve pretty much summarized some of the advantages of the miracle knots. But there is actually more icing on this cake. Check them out here.

Other Benefits of Miracle Knots

1. Miracle knots are beginner-friendly

Since these knotless or no-knot braids are easy to install, they are usually recommended for beginners. You can install them even with no braiding skills, as it does away with the feed-in braiding technique.

2. They are versatile

If you’ve ever wondered how many styles you can create with your miracle knots, there are tons. Miracle braids are just like your regular braids. You can style them in multiple ways. You can go for an updo, leave them to flow, or an up-and-down style.

3. They protect hair and scalp health

No one wants a look that makes them compromise on their hair and scalp health. Thankfully, this hairstyle is nothing like that. It is actually the opposite, as miracle braids protect your hair and scalp, allowing you to maintain its health by moisturizing and washing. They also make it easy for air to reach your scalp.

4. They are reusable

High-quality human crochet hair can be used many times. Just clean and wash them, then you can reuse them to create your style. This makes miracle knots a cost-effective look. You can save money, making it an investment that’s worth every penny.

A Step-by-Step Guide on How to Install Miracle Knots

Miracle knots use a life-changing technique that allows you to rock a light, natural-looking hairstyle. This technique gives you stylish boho style in a matter of hours and even minutes if your natural hair is already braided.

Here are the steps you can follow if you want to install your miracle knots:

Step 1: Wash, Dry, and Braid Your Natural Hair

Wash, Dry, and Braid Your Natural Hair

It is very important that you lay a good foundation before installing your miracle knots.

Start by washing your natural hair with sulfate-free shampoo and conditioner.

Next, dry with a microfiber towel, but avoid rubbing your hair with it. Instead, simply pat dry, then moisturize and braid your natural hair like regular box braids.

If you are not sure if you can create neat braids, kindly get someone to do that for you.

Step 2:  Install Your Crochet Hair

a. Regular Miracle Knots Braid Method

Regular crochet method

Get your crochet needle and insert it under your braids, starting from the back. Hook the hair extensions, which are your pre-threaded and pre-stitched hair, then close the latch and pull the loop. Once it’s snug, pick another strand to install.

Keep in mind that when you want to install, the hair should be centered, so that it is secured on the thread and not your natural hair.

This makes the knots appear almost invisible, lying flat on your braids without looking bulky. It also prevents hair damage and ensures the hair stays securely.

So, this means a correct installation allows you to enjoy all the benefits of rocking the style.

b. Miracle Knot No knot method

Step 3: Finish Up Your Hair

Go ahead and repeat the installation process till you’re done with your hair. You can apply your mousse after installing, then gel your hairline.

Miracle knots crochet hair is available in different lengths, and you can choose any depending on your taste.

Some popular lengths are 18”, 20”, and 22”. Get a few packs and follow my steps for the installation process. You may need to get up to 4 packs to complete your hair, but this totally depends on how full and voluminous you want your style to be.

How Long Do Miracle Knots Last?

How Long Do Miracle Knots Last

Miracle knots can last between four to eight weeks with proper care. However, it might not last up to that if you perform more rigorous activities.

Yet, the most important thing is to care for your hairstyle daily and handle it gently. That way, it will look fresh and last for a longer period.

How to Manage and Care for Miracle Knots?

Miracle knots aren’t easy to manage like traditional braids. If anything, they are a bit more difficult and require your patience and time. Find some maintenance tips you can follow to manage and keep your miracle knots in shape.

How to Manage and Care for Miracle Knots

1. Refresh with a Leave-in Conditioner and Water Mixture

Using a leave-in conditioner mixture helps you to hydrate and moisturize your curls. They make them pop and look fresh again. So, don’t sleep on this for any reason.

I always like to apply this in a spray bottle. It makes the application easier and ensures every area is well saturated. Moisturizing properly will also prevent tangles and matting that may occur with dry hair.

Aside from this mixture, you can use a leave-in conditioner spray and other products to refresh and add shine to your look.

2. Protect at Night

Sleeping without protection is one of the easiest ways to get your hair tangled up, reducing its lifespan. This is why I’ll recommend protecting your hair at night before going to bed.

Make sure to roll your hair and put on a satin or silk bonnet. You can also get a silk pillowcase for extra protection. That way, you will avoid the tugging and rubbing that causes friction and matting.

3. Avoid Tangles

Be careful of friction by ensuring your hair doesn’t become tangled with your clothes, caps, and hoodies. If you’re performing any activity that requires much movement, like sports, you can put your hair into a protective style like a high ponytail. This will keep it from rubbing against your scarves and clothes.

4. Clean Your Scalp

Miracle knots actually make it easy to take care of your scalp. Get a dry shampoo and use it to cleanse your scalp once in a while. I wouldn’t advise that you do this regularly, especially if you have a clean scalp. Using it once a week if you engage in a lot of activities is okay.

Once you’ve cleansed, you can apply an oil. However, make sure it is not heavy, as those can cause buildup.

5. Detangle Properly

Your curls can easily tangle if they are synthetic. Use your fingers to detangle from the tip and move up to the roots. Apply the leave-in conditioner and water mixture to keep them from tangling again. Make sure you don’t neglect any area, and do this often for a natural style.

Using human crochet hair doesn’t mean you won’t have to detangle your hair, too. So, follow the steps above for a nice style.

6. Use Your Products Sparingly

Applying too many products doesn’t preserve your style; instead, it causes buildup. A light mousse and oil are just perfect. They can hydrate and set your style perfectly.

Quick note: Miracle knots look good when you use high-quality human hair extensions. Curly, silky feather crochet hair extensions that merge seamlessly with your natural hair.
